With the upcoming nuptials of Mavinder and Meny, we decided to head down to Southbank in Central London to capture some pre-wedding shots of the couple. It certainly was a hive of activity when we got there, but that was mainly due to the International Women’s day that was taking place! Even though Manvinder and Meny were a little shy to begin with (mainly due to the amount of people there!) they certainly warmed up to the camera, and we managed to capture some beautiful moments between the two of them.

Bejal and Vitesh portrait shoot at Bank, London
We are pleased to Introduce the lovely Bejal and her equally lovely fiancée Vitesh….
We managed to capture some truly stunning and eye-catching shots of the couple before their wedding, which is taking place later on in the year. When Vitesh asked us to recommend a location for the shoot, we wanted to find out more about what they liked and their personalities, with Bejal and Vitesh both being lovers of architecture, we did some research and found that Bank and St Katherine’s Dock in London would work best for the photos they both wanted.
The architecture really work in our favour and we managed to capture some really beautiful moments between the couple.
We think the photos really reflect how much in love Bejal and Vitesh are, they couldn’t take their eyes off each other! We really can’t wait to capture their wedding, we are really looking forward to it!

Priya and Sunil portrait shoot in Canary Wharf
We had a truely fantastic time shooting Priya and Sunil’s pre wedding shoot in the scenic Canary Wharf. It was unbelievably cold, but Priya and Sunil were absolute troopers and carried on even though they were freezing! Due to the weather, we had to work quickly to catch those special shots, but we really managed to catch those amazing shots and a little bit more! We secretly think that Priya and Sunil were fibbing when they told us they didn’t know how to pose! These guys were true naturals, and the camera loved them both, we think the individual shots really prove that!
We really can’t wait to capture the wedding, the countdown is on!

Bluewater Wedding Fair
After the success of the Asiana Wedding Exhibition, we think we got the Exhibition bug! Johara Photography will be exhibiting at the Bluewater Wedding Fair (Glow) from Thursday 9th February to Sunday 12th February 2012.
Why don’t you come down to one of the biggest and prestigious shopping centers in Europe and fix your retail therapy itch, grab some yummy food and then come down to the Wedding fair and see what there is to offer! It is guaranteed to be an exciting, luxurious and beautiful show from start to finish.
We are so excited to meet everyone at the show, its going to be a good one! See you there!
Johara at the Asiana Wedding Exhibition 2012
The Asiana Wedding Exhibition 2012 took place at the Riverbank Plaza Hotel on the Albert Embankment on the 29th January. It certainly was a jam packed, super busy and super charged day for the Johara team! We really enjoyed the buzz and the pure excitement of the day, and it was amazing to meet so many different people. We loved the fact that we were able to interact with potential clients, and got a real feel of what they wanted for their special day, and we were able to show off our lovely albums too
Although we had a small stand, we would like to think we made an impact on the day, our Johara colours stood proud! We were also so glad that our childhood sweets were a hit, including the popping candy, which went down a treat!
Big thank you to all friends and family who came to show their support, it definately did not go un-noticed.

Rakhee and Tej – Portrait Shoot in London
Just before Rakhee and Tej’s big fat Indian wedding, we managed to fit in a fantastic portrait shoot in Central London. They both were brilliant to work with, and we shared a few laughs along the way! We had so much fun moving around London, weaving our way though Embankment to the Millenium bridge. I can’t seem to look at the Millenium bridge in the same light, as I have a vivid memory of laying on back trying to get a sneaky shot of both Rakhee and Tej with many people looking on and wondering what I was doing there!

Sonia and Sanjay at Camber Sands, Sussex
Sun, sea and sand can definately sum up this shoot we had with Sonia & Sanjay at the scenic and beautiful Camber Sands in Sussex. The Johara team really enjoyed capturing those special and intimate moments between the two, in fact at times we thought they both forgot we were even there!
One of the main reasons why we love to do pre wedding shoots, is that we get to understand the couple and what makes them laugh, smile and just be themselves – this couldn’t have been more true for this loved up couple.

Janhvi and Meeraj at Sorrento, Italy
Sun, Sea and stone beach? We were extremely lucky that we were chosen to capture the civil wedding of Janhvi and Meeraj in the picture perfect Sorrento, Italy. It truely was a beautiful location, almost as lovely as Jahnvi and Meeraj
The feel of Sorrento was so full of love, warmth and it oozed character with a strong Italian heritage. The cobbled streets, the Lemonchello drink, the amazing icecream parlour’s, literally everything about this quaint and beautiful town were truely spectacular, and it gave us a stunning background to work with.
Although on the morning of the civil wedding, it rained like cat’s and dogs, literally moments before the ceremony was about to start, the sun started to shine. Although it was hazey to begin with, the weather turned out to be beautiful.
Janhvi and Meeraj were lovely to work with, and we wish them every luck and success in their lives together.

Rakhee and Tej – Hindu Wedding at Kadwa Patidar Centre
Getting married once is special enough but to have experienced two weddings of different faiths, now that’s a real blessing. We had the joy of capturing Rakhee and Tej’s Hindu and Sikh wedding. The Hindu wedding took place at the Kadwa Patidar Centre in Harrow.
Sharing a couples biggest moments together before they start their lives together is truely special, we shared many moments and memories together, which we are truely grateful for.
The first time we met Rakhee and her wonderful family, we already felt part of the family. So covering their weddings made the whole thing even more enjoyable for us. The atmosphere at both weddings was enjoyable, relaxing and most importantly… on time.
