Civil Wedding

Shveta and Kieran’s civil wedding at Stoke Park

To sum up Shveta and Kieran’s civil wedding in three words, it would be sophisticated, classy and refined. As time has gone on, we have learnt that Shveta is a bit of a perfectionist, and her civil wedding day was really no exception. Every detail on the day was thought out and executed to precision. Having photographed Shveta’s sister’s wedding (Nivedita & Varun), we really weren’t expecting anything less! It’s probably worth adding Shveta is one of the creative brains behind her families catering business Poonams and her very own cake business Akito Blush.

We often meet families who treat us like one of their own, and the Sharma’s and extended family did exactly that. We can definitely say that after covering three weddings and multiple other ceremonies in the last few years.

The couple chose Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire for the civil wedding ceremony, it was an intimate affair for both families nearest and dearest, which is just the way we like it. Stoke Park is Europe’s leading 5 AA Red Star Country Club, Spa and Hotel and is set among 300 acres of glorious parkland, lakes, historic gardens and monuments created over the past one thousand years. It is a private estate and there is no public footpaths, or right of way access anywhere over the 300 acres so you know this venue has a lot of unspoilt natural beauty and we’re glad to be one of the photographers to have photographed there.

Kieran the handsome groom looked dashing on the day and was just like his personality, smooth, sophisticated and careful with his words (he’s a lawyer you see). Shveta looked amazing in her beautiful show stopping white gown, and looked every inch the perfect bride. The makeup maestro Rani Bhogal made Shveta look absolutely beautiful, we are pretty certain she has magic in her hands 🙂

I’d also like to thank to Rima and Guv for stepping in and helping me photograph this beautiful civil wedding. I wasn’t actually sure I would be able to shoot on the day, as I had been pretty ill for about a month before, but luckily I managed to pull through!

Hope you enjoy the images as much as we do and we look forward to your feedback.

Hindu Wedding

Nivedita and Varun’s wedding at Ditton Manor

Indian couple Nivedita and Varun together in a maze at Ditton Manor

To say it was an absolute pleasure in photographing the intimate Indian wedding ceremony and stunning reception at the historic Ditton Manor would be a big understatement. We loved covering every moment!

The Hindu religious ceremony was held at the brides beautiful residence, which could have easily be mistaken for an actual wedding venue! The ceremony was a beautiful intimate affair, with the couples nearest and dearest. With the amount of love we received from everyone, we also felt like part of the family. The best thing about doing wedding photography, is the amazing families we meet. The extended Poonams family definitely feel like old family friends, which we just love.

The wedding reception was just as lavish and decadent as the wedding ceremony. The event took place on a separate day at the historic Ditton Manor, which was once the playground of Henry VIII and his daughter Mary I. There has been an estate at Ditton Park since at least 1066. The venue itself promises character and a location like no other. From the moment you cross its tranquil moat, you will feel like you’re in a different world. Ditton Manor, is probably one of Berkshire’s best kept secrets and we’re glad to say we were the photographers for one of the first Indian wedding held there.

With the brides family coming from a background in the Indian catering industry, we knew all of the events would be spectacular, and they really didn’t fail to deliver. Poonams Catering has over 40 years of experience in the catering business and delivering an amazing service for Asian/Indian weddings.

We can truly say that all of the wedding events were so beautifully planned, and every detail was immaculate. Having got to know the Poonams sisters, we weren’t expecting anything less! The stunning cake was made by the bride’s sister, which was nothing short of amazing. Akito Blush provides beautiful wedding cakes, which are master pieces in their own right!

Nivedita and Varun actually met at university, and Varun popped the question in Italy (aw – how romantic!). The love between the two was plain to see, we can only wish them the very best in this new chapter of their lives together!

Below are some images of their big day, we hope you enjoy browsing through the fun, laughter and love of the couple and the crazy Poonams family!

Finally a massive well done too all the suppliers. Rani Bhogal the ever so talented makeup and hair maestro, Akito Blush for the beautifully made wedding cake, and Poonams for putting together the wedding like an orchestra.
